Tata Curvv has been confirmed to be launched on August 7 by Tata Motors. Tata Curvv will be the first SUV coupe manufactured in India, and will compete against midsized SUVs. Tata Motors showcased the Curvv at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. Images and clips of the Tata Curvv have been trending on the internet for quite some time now.
Tata Curvv : Design
It shares the Tata Nexon platform, having somewhat similar design elements but a sports coupe like roof giving it that sporty appeal. Curvv has the same headlight design as that of Nexon with a connecting LED light across the width, functioning as DRLs. The bold, high set bonnet design gives a commanding and gigantic feel. At the rear, the thin connecting LED strip runs across the width of the car and a distinct coupe like roofline. Talking about numbers, the Curvv will be longer than the Nexon (313mm) but shorter than the Harrier.
The Curvv will share an illuminated steering wheel from that of the Harrier and Safari, and also the 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrument cluster. The difference between EV and ICE could be marked out by some unique features, just like the Nexon EV over the regular Nexon.
Tata Curvv : Pricing
With Tata expecting to launch the EV variant first, the prices could start from Rs 20 Lakhs. This will make it more expensive than the Nexon EV but lower than that of the upcoming Harrier EV. The petrol and diesel variants will be launched after the EV and could be priced at around Rs 10 Lakhs to 11 Lakhs. The Curvv ICE will compete against midsized SUVs like the Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder, and Hyundai Creta. Whereas, the Curvv EV will rival the MG ZS EV and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti Suzuki eVX.
